Our recycling program, particularly focused on recycling cans, promotes environmental stewardship and sustainability. The farm is also a social haven where community members can meet new people, build connections, and participate in various events and activities. Volunteers are a vital part of our farm, receiving training opportunities that help them develop valuable personal and social skills. Join us in creating a greener, more connected community!

Gardening
At St James' Community Farm, gardening is at the heart of what we do. We provide opportunities for community members to grow their own vegetables, learning sustainable agricultural practices and the benefits of homegrown produce. Our garden spaces are open to all, fostering a sense of connection with nature and promoting healthy, sustainable living.
Recycling Cans
Environmental stewardship is a key focus at St James' Community Farm. Our robust recycling program, particularly aimed at recycling cans, helps reduce waste and promote sustainability. By partnering with local organizations, we recycle over 1 million cans annually, 32000kg to date, generating funds to support the farm's operations and demonstrating the importance of recycling to the community.
Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers are the backbone of our farm, and we offer numerous opportunities for people to get involved. Whether it's helping with animal care, gardening, or participating in our recycling initiatives, volunteers make a significant impact. We welcome individuals of all ages and backgrounds to join us and contribute their time and skills. Recycling pallets, upcycling furniture
Animal Care
Our farm offers hands-on animal care experiences, allowing visitors to interact with our friendly animals. Caring for chickens, ducks, rabbits, tortoises, goats, and donkeys, participants learn about animal welfare and develop empathy and responsibility. These interactions are both educational and therapeutic, providing joy and comfort to all who visit.
Meeting New People
St James' Community Farm is a social hub where people from all walks of life can meet and build connections. We host a variety of events and activities that bring the community together, fostering a sense of belonging and mutual support. Whether attending a workshop, participating in a volunteer day, or simply visiting the farm, there's always an opportunity to make new friends.
Training Opportunities
